My 6-foot tall son Jonathan completing the circle. The door is 8' tall and the entryway is approximately 11' tall by 6' wide from the outside points of the circle.

Crystal Cove
The trees of this massive 8x11 ft. front entryway are carved from 8x8 in. laminated yellow cedar posts. With its stunning glasswork it's like stumbling on a wonderful view while out for a hike.

Forest Retreat
I truly loved designing and making this particular piece. Seeing it in its new home gave me the feeling of being at a forest retreat, very content. It is carved from varying shades of light and dark cedar which give it a little movement amidst all the serenity.

This Porthole is a Doorway
A challenging entryway made from the customer's slightly unruly 4/4 cherry. I gave up fighting the "defects" in the wood and accentuated them instead. By highlighting them tastefully while ensuring structural integrity the final result was extremely satisfying.

Going with the Flow
I designed this unique front entrance to compliment the organic, earthy feel of this rammed earth home. The door and jamb were built using the customer's own local spalted western maple.
